Signal 24 is an independent digital news platform. We cover the stories moving the world, from wars and diplomacy in the Middle East to markets, AI and sport, and we explain them in plain language so you can understand what is going on in a few minutes.
Why Signal 24 exists
There has never been more news, and it has never been harder to follow. Every big story comes with hundreds of alerts, clips and opinions. Most people end up knowing that something happened but not why it matters or what happens next.
We built Signal 24 to fix that. Every story we publish tries to answer three simple questions: what happened, why it matters, and what to watch next. You will often see those answers in the Signal Box at the top of our articles.
Who runs Signal 24
Saad Ali
Founder & Editor
Saad Ali is the founder and editor of Signal 24. He studied Communication and Media Studies and has spent the last four years working in news and digital media.
He started Signal 24 because keeping up with world news had become tiring. Big stories arrive as a flood of alerts, hot takes and half-finished updates, and readers end up knowing that something happened without knowing why it matters. Signal 24 is his attempt to fix that, one clear story at a time.
He writes mostly about geopolitics, the Middle East and the way global events reach ordinary people.

How we work
- We check before we publish. Facts come from named sources, official statements and trusted wire reporting. If we cannot confirm something, we say so.
- We fix our mistakes in the open. When we get something wrong, we correct it and add a note to the story. Read our corrections policy.
- We are independent. No political party, government or advertiser tells us what to cover or how.
- We are open about AI. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. A person edits, checks and approves every story before it goes live, and AI-generated images are labelled.
Ownership and funding
Signal 24 is owned and run by its founder, Saad Ali. It is not owned by, funded by or affiliated with any political party, government or company.
Today, Signal 24 is paid for by its founder. As we grow, we plan to earn money from advertising on the site and, later, from sponsorships. Advertisers and sponsors have no say over what we cover or how, and any sponsored content will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
Our writers include students and early-career journalists in our Newsroom Internship. Every story they write is edited and checked before it is published.
